Goodbye to an Athlete,Student, and Father
Twenty two years ago I checked one of my wrestler athletes into a mental health urgent care treatment facility for severe depression.
This past Saturday I went to his Memorial Service. He had committed suicide through a senseless act of shooting himself a week ago.
He left behind a wonderful wife and a very young daughter; who will only know her father through pictures and stories.
From all of the eulogies that were given, it was crystal clear that he would go way out of his way to make sure his friends needs were always met, he always had a smile on his face, and his family was all he talked about and had in his heart.
Darren Lee, you will be missed by all that knew you, and the world is missing out from never have known you.
